The goal of Education COUNTS is to increase the availability and accessibility of information about education statistics and research. Education COUNTS is a 'one-stop shop' for such information, and includes:
- demographic information, specifically tailored for use in the education sector
- contextual information, such as labour market information, for assisting with interpretating and understanding education information
- reference lists, including address and service details of New Zealand's education institutions
- statistical information obtained through the Ministry of Education, including data on achievement, participation, and resourcing
- analysis of education information, including education sector indicators and detailed examination of key education themes
- publications, such as research and evaluation, Iterative Best Evidence Synthesis reports, regular monitoring reports, and specialised analysis
- pathways to other Ministry of Education and Ministry-sponsored websites
- metadata to support the use and interpretation of data and information, including data dictionaries, glossaries, and descriptions of analytical techniques.

Local government is an important feature of all our lives. It helps to shape the communities we live in. It is important that local people have the opportunity to influence local decisions about their community, and this website is aimed at providing more accessible information for people to participate in their local processes.
The localcouncils website provides general information about local government in New Zealand and offers 17 profiles for each of New Zealand's 85 regional and territorial councils – including information about council activities and structures, election statistics, community profiles, council expenditure, debt, and sources of income.
The data used to develop the profiles has been derived from a variety of sources: Statistics New Zealand, the Local Government Surveys by The Department of Internal Affairs, Council Local Governance Statements and Long Term Council Community Plans. The information has been taken as reported from these various sources.

The Ministry of Health's Māori Health website now provides an easy to use and accessible source of health data for Māori. With the Māori population expected to grow by 20% between 2006 - 2021, this web resource is an information tool for the health and disability sector, researchers, policymakers, funders and anyone with an interest in Māori health.
Data are available on socio-economic determinants of health, risk and protective factors for health, health status, and health service utilisation. A descriptive analysis of the data is provided, with statistical information accessible in graphs and tables. Access to raw datasets is also available. The data are drawn primarily from Tatau Kahukura: Māori Health Chart Book and it is intended that further data will be incorporated into the web resource with the aim of providing the most recent data available to monitor the health status of Māori.

PHIOnline is a web interface developed by Public Health Intelligence (PHI), the epidemiology group of the Ministry of Health, located within the Public Health Directorate. PHIOnline is a powerful visualisation tool and provides an alternative way to access health information through a mapping interface rather than traditional text-based documents. PHIOnline allows:
- access to data from the New Zealand Health Survey and routine hospitalisation, registration and mortality data; collected and analysed by PHI
- a multidimensional view of data which illustrates single year and time trends through linked charts, graphs, tables and maps by District Health Board area
- the user to download maps as images for inclusion in reports
- the user to download the data complete with confidence intervals.
